Scottish Football League v Football League representative medal awarded to Joe Dodds of Celtic FC in 1913, 9ct. gold & enamel, inscribed INTERNATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE MATCH, SCOTLAND v ENGLAND, J. DODDS (CELTIC) Dodds scored one of the goals in the Scottish League's 4-1 victory over the Football League at Hampden Park 1st March 1913. He also won three international caps for Scotland as well as representing the Scottish F.F. Joesph Dodds (1887-1965) was a left-back who played for Celtic in two spells and made 351 League appearances. His is considered to be one of the club's greats of the era. His 1918 Glasgow Charity Cup winne'r medal is being offered in this auction as lot 724.


Football Association Amateur Cup winner's medal won by a South Bank FC player in season 1912-1913, 9ct. gold, inscribed THE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION, AMATEUR CUP, WINNERS, undated but with a Birmingham hallmark date letter for 1912-13, in replacement case After a 1-1 draw at Reading, South Bank beat Oxford City 1-0 in the replay played at Bishop Auckland.


Football Association Amateur Cup runners-up medal season 1911-12 awarded to an Eston United player, 9ct. gold, inscribed THE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION, AMATEUR CUP, RUNNERS-UP, in original fitted case, the lid stamped gilt THE FOOTBALL ASSOC'N., AMATEUR CUP, 1911-12 After a 0-0 draw Eston United were beaten 1-0 by Stockton in the replay. Both matches were played at Ayresome Park, Middlesbrough.

Three Ellis Cup medals. A cased 9ct. gold winner's medal awarded to a South Bank FC player in 1936, a 9ct. gold runners-up for South Bank in 1938 named to W.L. SNAITH, and an earlier gold-mounted silver medal dated 1911. The Ellis Cup, played in Teesside, was first competed for in 1889 and as such places it in the top five oldest football competitions in the world.
